The University of Tennessee is implementing new software that will enhance business processes.  The new processes are designed to simplify financial and human resources functions by eliminating paperwork and duplication of effort. The project will be implemented throughout UT beginning early in the 2001 calendar year.

Plans for the project began two years ago.  On June 25, 1999, SAP, a company with a longstanding history of successful business software implementation, was chosen as a vendor of choice.  Many corporations and institutions of higher education have implemented the SAP software, including Arkansas State Government, Baylor College of Medicine, Central Michigan University, Duke University, MIT, The University of Mississippi, and The University of Nebraska.
