There is a new transaction called Z_CLOSEOUT_NOTIF Sponsored Project Closeout that will generate a report of sponsored projects that are ending. Menu path:

 Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> Project Systems -> Information Systems -> Z_CLOSEOUT_NOTIF Sponsored Project Closeout

You can choose the ending date range desired and specify sponsored projects for an entire department or for an individual PI.

Also, a program will be executed each month in the Controller’s Office to generate automated email notifications. An email notice will be sent to the PI at approximately 60 days before the sponsored project end date. Also, a summary report will be sent by email to the departmental bookkeeper and responsible person of all sponsored projects assigned to them in IRIS.

The accuracy of these new tools is dependent upon four attributes of the WBS Element in IRIS (see transaction CJ20N). These four attributes are WBS Element ending date, PI, Bookkeeper, and Responsible Person. If you receive an email notification in error, please contact your Campus Business Office.
