Modifications to the IRIS Tenure Status Infotype
From October 15 – 17 the IRIS team implemented several improvements to the Tenure Status infotype. The primary modifications are field label changes, edits to ensure field values are consistent between fields, and the use of the most recent version of the CIP codes.
A screen shot of the modified infotype is shown below:
The CIP codes (previously labeled “Academic Discipline”) have been created such that there is a default value for each tenure department. Some of those may be somewhat generic in nature, e.g. “Foreign Languages and Literature” is the default value for the tenure cost center of Modern Foreign Languages & Literature. A sub department CIP code field will be created containing appropriate values where a further breakdown of the CIP code is necessary. In the case of Foreign Languages and Literature there are sub codes available for Chinese, Japanese, Russian, etc.
